We are very happy to host local photographer Jim Codington. His art focuses on nature, wildlife, and culture. Jim puts in massive effort to create these images, often traveling the world for just a handful of spectacular moments.. Of course, Jim doesn’t always need to travel far, as Sonoma County’s scenery is also captured from his lens.

We have Jim’s work on display now and through most of August. On July 13, an artist reception was held and Jim shared stories about his work.

All of Jim’s photos are available for sale. Proceeds support wildlife conservation efforts.

Be sure to visit Jim’s website for more breathtaking photographs. We can help arrange purchase of specific images, available in different sizes and printed on different substrates.

Seebass Winemaker's Feast

Spectacular 5 Course Feast

of food, wine and fun

Seebass produces some of the best wine in Mendocino County.

La Bodega is ranked as one of the best restaurants in Sonoma County.

There are reasons both businesses do so well. Seebass produces wines using techniques honed in exquisite French wineries. La Bodega prepares food using techniques crafted in Parisian kitchens. Both now use excellent gourmen ingredients: one from their own Mendocino vineyard; the other from many local sources as well as a few carefully imported gems.

Reserve your table soon to enjoy a beautiful evening at La Bodega in Sebastopol.

Nomi Klein - Art Reception

All invited to meet Nomi Klein, hobnob with the local gentry, and share a toast to local creativity.

Nomi Klein’s Bio

Nomi grew up immersed in the sweet-scented scenery of orange groves and the rackety rambles of farm workshops filled with industrial machinery. These two dichotic forces; flowing, colorful nature and the cool precision of machines have been key sources of her inspiration.

Nomi was born in Israel and grew up immersed on a Kibbutz. As a young teen she
learned technical machine design and served in the Israeli army in that field. She
studied oil painting, window design and sculpture at Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem.

In the late ‘70s, Nomi moved with her family to New York City. There she studied ceramics, casting and molding at the Parson School of Design. She was awarded a merit scholarship at the Art Students League and exhibited her work extensively in Soho galleries.

Nomi experiments with different material and media; transforming everyday objects into art. She applies wood-cracking technique to a canvas by which she creates a unique mixed-medium affect of cloth-cracking with paint layers. Her wooden window design pieces in which she combines discarded window frames with traditional art, blur the viewer’s blur the viewer’s perspective of indoor and outdoor spaces. For Nomi, art is a holistic experience. Opportunities are all around, waiting to be expressed.

Private Wine Pairings

MONDAY JAN 2, 2023

Enjoy a special wine pairing. We will share 4 tastes of our Harvest View wines, paired with 4 small plates from La Bodega’s own kitchen. Everyone will get a nice tasting of wine, paired with La Bodega’s exquisite gourmet vegetarian small plate.

Caramelized Pear Tartlet

Paired with Harvest View Pine Mountain Sauvignon Blanc.

Enjoy one of our Caramelized Organic Pear Tartlets. Contains Pt. Reyes blue cheese, Pear brandy compote, California port reduction, Puff pastry..

Harvest View Sauvignon Blanc 2020

Special wines comes from unique vineyards. Pine Mountain is deep in the northern hills of Sonoma County. The higher elevation soils are dry chaparral, and lend a slightly brambly kick to this fresh, intense but not astringent white gem. 175 cases of Mountain sunshine.

 Saffron & Rose Petal Arancini

Paired with Harvest View Tempranillo 2017.

Saffron is such a luxury. Try one of our handmade classic, stuffed with mozzarella, served on La Bodega marinara. Contains Carnaroli rice, mozzarella, Clover butter, Judy’s Organic Eggs, rose petals

(Vegetarian, Gluten Free)

Harvest View Tempranillo 2017

Our most popular red. We blended 2 Tempranillos from 2 different vineyards, then applied our special barreling program. The touch of cocoa intertwines with the classic Spanish flavors of Tempranillo. A smooth version, without the bitey edges. 200 case production.

Wild Mushroom Ravioli

Paired with Harvest View Dolcetto 2018.

Enjoy 2 addictive wild morel & artichoke heart ravioli. Contains Wild mushroom cream sauce, Alba white truffle salt, Carmody, Lionza & Vella cheeses.

(Vegetarian)

Harvest View Dolcetto 2018

The Dolcetto was bright and fresh, but wanted for a little bit of deeper complexity. We chose to blend about 9% Dry Creek Sangiovese. This resulting Italian style blend is stellar. Perfect to share with hearty cheeses, or this Normandy style mushroom cream. Only 125 cases produced

Brochette

“Mushroom, Lamb & Beef Blend”

Paired with Harvest View Petite Sirah.

Finish with this surprise - Wild porcini & shiitake Mushrooms, Black sheep faux lamb, Impossible beef, green cardamom, roasted garlic, caramelized onion, raz el hanout spice blend, Sonoma vinegar works fig balsamic glaze, chimichurri, French Puy lentil & basmati rice majadra, house vegetable stock  (Vegan, Gluten Free)

Harvest View Petite Sirah 2017

Lots of ripe blueberry, touch of chocolate and a crisp fresh finish. A blend of Durif and Pelrousin. This wine was lightly oaked over 2 years, then transferred from barrel to perfect storage conditions. Barrel blended to balance richer barrels with drier, more tannic choices. Then bottled in 2021.

Petite Sirah and Syrah are both very complimentary choices for earthy dishes. This brochette and Petite Sirah evoke rustic memories. 237 case production.
